Hello everyone, my name is Brittany Bell. Artist at heart, I love doing anything art! All art is my passion no matter what material I am using. I have never been able to choose a favorite medium, which comes into play when I am teaching my students. I currently hold a Bachelors in Art Education, and currently seeking my Masters of Arts in Art Education from the University of Florida. In my free time, I love to create art of all kinds, hiking, scuba diving, and spending time with my family. I find inspiration all around me whether that be from my travels domestic and abroad. I find a huge inspiration with the ocean and its majestic creatures within. I like to bring those aspects of my life to light through my artwork.
As an art educator I am currently teaching art at an Elementary School in Arvada, CO. This is now my 6th year of teaching in a school. Currently I teach Kindergarten through 5th grade visual arts. As an educator, I am always looking for ways to get students more engaged through the arts and through my projects. My goal as an art educator is to inspire students to engage in the arts whenever they can. Being both an art educator and an artist, it is important to me to show and share my passion for the arts with my students. There are so many great explorations through art to teach students. Through my teaching, I am always re-evaluating projects for engagement and reliability. It is important to me as an art educator to find those aspects in art to help encourage kids to fall in love with the arts as I did. From my favorite quote of Pablo Picasso- "Every child is an artist. The problem is how to remain an artist once he grows up."
